St Wenn School Seahorses
Welcome to Seahorses class page. Seahorses class is made up of Reception and Preschool, where pupils and staff work alongside and collaboratively together to meet the requirements set out in the revised EYFS Framework. We offer a varied curriculum tailored to suit children's personal needs and interests. We use the online electronic Learning Journal 'Tapestry' to capture the childrens learning and 'WOW' moments, which allows parents to easily engage with their childs learning day to day.
Seahorse staff are Mrs Watson (Class teacher), Mrs Lush-Williams (Class teacher), Mrs Mackay (Preschool Lead), Mrs Bond (Teaching Assistant) and Mrs Stevens (Teaching Assistant).
Our topic this term is Africa - what is the same and what is different?
Due to the current lockdown, our learning plans and resources are sent out daily along with introductory videos filmed by the staff. This is sent out via the Showbie platform. Work can be submitted via Showbie or Tapestry for marking and feedback. We are currently enjoying learning the digraphs and trigraphs within Phase 3 of Letters and Sounds.
Our group sessions take place daily at 10.00 and 11.00. Please see the emailed group rota to know when your child's live lessons are. Our weekly class assembly is held at 11.00 every Friday (no group session at 11.00 n Friday).
