St Wenn School Seahorses

Welcome to Seahorses class page.  Seahorses class is made up of Reception and Preschool, where pupils and staff work alongside and collaboratively together to meet the requirements set out in the revised EYFS Framework.  We offer a varied curriculum tailored to suit children's personal needs and interests.  We use the online electronic Learning Journal 'Tapestry' to capture the childrens learning and 'WOW' moments, which allows parents to easily engage with their childs learning day to day.

Seahorse staff are Miss Bartlett (Class teacher), Miss Wheeler (Class teacher), Mrs Mackay (Preschool Lead), Mrs Bond (Teaching Assistant) and Mrs Stevens (Teaching Assistant).

This term our topic is 'Cornwall: Where in the World are we?'  We will be looking closely at Cornwall and through Seahorses shared interests we will compare where we live to other places around the World.

After a well deserved Christmas and New Year break we have come back fresh and ready to learn more.  We began our topic by discussing what we already know about Cornwall and sharing ideas about what we would like to know about Cornwall and the wider world.

Our topic journey will begin this week by reading The Mousehole Cat and learning all about where we are in the World, looking at globes and maps.
