St Wenn School Seahorses

Welcome to Seahorses class page.  Seahorses class is made up of Reception and Preschool, where pupils and staff work alongside and collaboratively together to meet the requirements set out in the revised EYFS Framework.  We offer a varied curriculum tailored to suit children's personal needs and interests.  We use the online electronic Learning Journal 'Tapestry' to capture the childrens learning and 'WOW' moments, which allows parents to easily engage with their childs learning day to day.

Seahorse staff are Miss Bartlett (EYFS Lead, Class teacher Tuesday- Friday) and Mrs Lush-Williams (Class teacher Monday),  Mrs Mackay (Preschool Lead), Mrs Bond (Teaching Assistant) and Mrs Stevens (Teaching Assistant).

We are had a  great Spring term learning lots about castles.  Seahorses even challenged Mrs Smith to a quiz about castles and won!

During Spring term we also learnt about knights, searched for signs of Spring at Forest School and had a fantastic World Book Day, which we thoroughly enjoyed dressing up as characters from our favourite books.  We finished the term by finding dragon ice eggs, helped them to hatch and then made a book all about the baby dragons that we found!

We are looking forward to Summer Term when we will be learning all about our teeth and how to look after them followed by some exciting work taking a closer look at Cornwall and comparing it to other places around the World.
