St Wenn School Turtles

Welcome to the Turtles Class page.

A huge welcome back to everyone in KS1. The children have settled amazingly into their new routines and have really enjoyed exploring our cross curricular topic...

'Here we are.'

Our world can be a bewildering place with our heads full of questions, so this book allowed us to explore what makes our planet and how we live on it. From land and sky, to people and time. Some things about our planet are pretty complicated, but things can be simple, too. The main lesson we have learnt is 'you've just got to be kind.'

We are beginning our new topic....

Explorers - Where did they go and what did they find?

We are excited and interested to research the great Christopher Columbus and Amelia Earhart.

We are busy getting to grips with our new online learning platform Showbie.

As always we appreciate the consistent support from parents especially with reading.

"By reading to children, you provide them with a deep understanding about their world and fill their brains with background knowledge. They then use this acquired background knowledge to make sense of what they see, hear, and read, which aids their cognitive development."

Turtles staff are Miss Wheeler (Teacher)

Mrs Ward (Teaching Assistant).
